Got a bun in the oven and wondering what you can wear to get you through those long nine months?
Here, three killer outfits worn by graphic designer and mum-to-be Elsie Houston that you’ll definitely be reaching for every day.
Maternity Outfit #1: Kimono Jacket & Singlet Dress
Slip, slip, done. That’s how I’d describe the singlet dress -meets-kimono combo. Why do I love it? Let me count the ways: 1. it’s chilled enough to slob on the couch in, but smart enough to also hit the shops. 2. It’s tight enough to clearly show fact that you’re pregnant (ie “Can you give me a hand getting this gear back to the car? Thanks”), but breezy and loose at the same time 3a. It’s cool in the heat. 3b. Add a felt fedora and some leggings and it also works in the cold. And did I mention the part about slobbing on the couch?
Maternity Outfit #2: Felt Hat & Stripes
There’s something about a floppy, well-worn felt fedora that just makes everything awesome. Add a striped dress and you’ve pretty much got your wardrobe for the entire week sorted.
Maternity Outfit #3: Anything With Saltwater Sandals
Expanding ankles? This is your jam. As rad with jeans and a tee as they are with stretchy dresses and skirts, Saltwater Sandals are perfect for pregnancy. Bonus: you’ll be wearing them for years after too.
