Etsy Craft Party 2016 is on from 17th to 19th June. You can join the fun by organising a creative event or starting a project you’ve always dreamed of — really, anything goes! They just ask one thing: make sure you share on social media with #EtsyCraftParty and @etsyau so fellow craft partiers can revel in your creative glory. To inspire, we’re sharing how to make these epic little flower hats from i make. you wear it crafter, Rachel Burke. Happy crafting!
- Patty cakes cases
- Green Cardboard
- Pink Cardboard
- Mini white sticky dots
- Pink pipe cleaners
- Hot glue gun/glue
Take your piece of cardboard and bend it to make a cone shape.
Trim the excess cardboard to make your petite party hat shape.
Glue down the fold.
Begin by squeezing some hot glue along the edge of your party hat. Then glue your pipe cleaner in place to create a dreamy trim.
To make your paper flowers take a patty cake case and fold it in half.
Then twist the base to make it look like a flower. Repeat the process to make a small bunch and then secure with some hot glue.
Glue onto your hat, and continue repeating the process until it is decorated as you like.
Cut out some leaves and glue them on!
Once decorated with flowers and leaves, you are ready to smatter your hat with the little stickers!
Either use as a cute table decoration, or if you’d like to wear it, just hot glue it onto a hair slide!
